About the Role:

As a Bank Nursery Practitioner, you will provide ad-hoc cover to support nurseries to continue creating a safe and nurturing environment, and building strong relationships with both children and staff.

Location: Chester

Hours: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible hours available, Monday - Friday

Salary:

  • Level 2 with a valid PFA certificate: £14.23 phr (PAYE)
  • Level 3 with a valid PFA certificate: £15.00 phr (PAYE)
  • Level 2 & Level 3 with a valid PFA: £16.88 phr (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire Learning: Support nursery team to deliver creative, age-appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Nurture Well-being: Provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
  • Safety First: Ensure excellent standards of hygiene, health, and safety are met at all times.

Qualifications:

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
  • Paediatric First Aid Qualification (if qualified after 30th June 2016).
  • English GCSE grade C/4 (if qualified after Sept 2014).
  • Previous experience working within an early years setting is highly desirable.

Skills & Attributes:

  • A good understanding of child development, standard safeguarding practices, and the EYFS framework.
  • An enthusiastic, patient, and caring nature with excellent communication.

Supply Star Little Learners Recruitment is committed to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and adults. All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS and two satisfactory references. You must have a clear enhanced DBS certificate to be considered for this role. If you do not have one, Supply Star Recruitment can support you in obtaining one at a cost of £63.
