The Probation Service offers the opportunity for annual pay progression through a Competency Based Framework (CBF). New entrants are expected to join on the minimum of the pay band, and pay band ranges increase annually in line with Civil Service Pay guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the full range of work with people on probation before and after sentencing, including assessment, sentence implementation, offender management, and producing reports.
  • Provide case management support to a full range of people on probation by utilising service procedures and practice directions that underpin professional judgement.

Requirements / Eligibility:

  • Right to work in the United Kingdom and in the Civil Service.
  • Must comply with current immigration rules; Skilled Worker visa holders must have held a Skilled Worker visa prior to 22 July 2025 to be considered for sponsorship.
  • Valid right to live and work in the UK must be maintained throughout employment.
