Join our Helpdesk Team and make a lasting first impression. In the morning you could be welcoming the trustees to the monthly board meeting, in the afternoon you could be supporting our community pantry project and making a difference in the lives of people accessing our services. You will be joining the Community Based Services team, supporting our frontline service in this essential receptionist/helpdesk role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Head Office reception, ensuring a presentable and welcoming environment.
- Greet visitors and people accessing CCP services.
- Coordinate meeting room diaries and ensure rooms are prepared for use.
- Support the Community Pantry by receiving and processing donations, managing the flow of Pantry visitors through reception, and signposting to external agencies if required.
- Answer and transfer incoming telephone calls.
- Maintain confidentiality and security on the Helpdesk.
- Ensure Health and Safety requirements are adhered to.

- Compensation with time off in lieu for public holidays worked due to the rota pattern.
- Extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at 5).
- Purchase additional holidays, capped at 5 per year (Contracted staff only).
- Business mileage (45p per mile) paid for any daily miles over the distance from your home to the allocated workplace location and back.

- A well‑maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT and insurance covering business use is required.
