Duties of the MOT Tester:
- Conduct all aspects of MOT testing in accordance with government standards.
- Support customers throughout the process by providing updates and explanations regarding test results.
- Diagnose and carry out associated servicing and repair work where applicable.
- Assist in general workshop duties to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer care as an MOT Tester.
- Liaise effectively with colleagues to coordinate workload efficiently.
- Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and testing procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid and active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence.
- UK driving licence with minimal points.
- Ideally, qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Alternatively, recognised technical experience with a valid MOT licence.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience working in a busy automotive environment is preferred.
