We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant for a specialist provision that supports children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role involves working with pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in small, supportive classes to deliver an ambitious curriculum and targeted SEMH support.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils' learning and development, both academically and emotionally.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored interventions and SEMH strategies.
  • Promote a calm, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and external agencies to create a nurturing and structured setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Training and Safeguarding

Teaching Personnel will provide all registered candidates with free child protection and preventive duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. We undertake safeguarding checks in accordance with DfE statutory guidance “Keeping Children Safe in Education”.

Position Details

This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. The role is provided by Teaching Personnel’s Find a Job Service from the Department for Work and Pension (DWP).
