Route 101 is seeking a dedicated Demo Operations Engineer to take ownership of our demonstration environments across a diverse portfolio of CX platforms, including Zendesk, CXone, Amazon Connect, Calabrio, Sycurio, PolyAI, and Cognigy. This role is critical to ensuring our demos are reliable, secure, and showcase the latest product capabilities, enabling our presales team to deliver exceptional client experiences and drive sales success. As our portfolio expands and client expectations rise, we need a specialist who can centralise demo environment management, improve efficiency, and introduce automation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and play a pivotal role in shaping Route 101’s ability to differentiate in the market.
Whilst the primary objective of this role is to enable the Solutions team to deliver customer‑facing demonstrations, there may be occasional opportunities to participate in these sessions as well and a longer‑term prospect to advance to other roles in the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Design, maintain, and optimise demo environments across multiple platforms.
- Ensure environments are stable, documented, and consistently available for presales engagements.
- Implement timely updates for new features and integrations.
- Develop solutions for data generation and realistic analytics visualisations.
- In collaboration with the Solution Consultant team, build custom demos for strategic opportunities within agreed timelines.
- Introduce automation and standardisation to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with Solutions Consultants and vendor technical teams to ensure feature parity and best practices.
- Maintain governance and security standards for all demo environments.
- Strong technical background with experience in managing complex environments across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency in web technologies (CSS, HTML) and integration skills for CRM and contact centre platforms with an eye for look and feel.
- Familiarity with CX solutions such as Zendesk, CXone, Amazon Connect, Calabrio, and conversational AI platforms (e.g., Cognigy).
- Ability to troubleshoot, optimise, and automate processes for demo readiness, including experience with DevOps processes, use of repository and versioning systems such as GitHub and infrastructure as code methods.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail for documentation and environment governance.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and vendor partners.
- Creative mindset and ability to help tell a story as well as configure the technology.
- Experience in creating reusable demo assets and delivering tailored demos under tight timelines.
- A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with a focus on operational excellence and scalability.
- Educated to a degree standard or equivalent industry qualifications.
