Overview
Thrive Education is seeking a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with high level behavioural needs. Mornings will be spent delivering structured 1:1 support, while afternoons involve assisting children who find the classroom environment challenging. This role requires patience, creativity, and the ability to motivate a capable learner through short, engaging tasks.
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £90–£105 per day (dependent on experience)
Type: Full-Time, Term-Time only, September Start

Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 support to a Year 5 pupil with behavioural needs
- Deliver short, motivating learning activities tailored to the child’s strengths
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Assist other pupils who struggle to access learning in the afternoons
- Work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to implement support plans
- Maintain clear, supportive communication with the wider team
