Balcarras School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our excellent team. Full training will be given to the right applicant and relevant experience/qualifications to carry out the role will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Work within a large team to support children with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Support the inclusion of pupils with physical disabilities and other special educational needs.
  • Work flexibly with fellow professionals to deliver inclusive education.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Having a caring demeanour and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly with professional colleagues.
  • Relevant experience or qualifications (training will be provided).
  • Authority to carry out regulated activity with children.

Additional Requirements:

  • All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and receipt of two satisfactory references.
