Towy Castle Care Home is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Care Home Manager to lead our dedicated team and oversee the day‑to‑day running of the service. This is an excellent opportunity for an established Care Home Manager, Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager ready to progress, to join a supportive and growing care organisation committed to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care.

As Home Manager, you will hold full responsibility for the operational, regulatory, staffing and financial performance of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and outstanding care in line with CIW standards and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Quality Assurance
    • Lead and inspire the team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care
    • Promote a positive, professional and supportive culture throughout the home
    • Ensure resident wellbeing, dignity and safety remain central to service delivery
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure full compliance with CIW regulations, RISCA standards and company policies
    • Maintain effective governance, audits and accurate documentation systems
    • Prepare for and manage inspections confidently and effectively
  • Team Management & Development
    • Recruit, lead, mentor and develop a skilled care team
    • Manage staffing levels, performance, supervision and training needs
    • Support employee engagement and retention within the service
  • Operational & Financial Management
    • Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the home
    • Manage budgets, resources and occupancy levels effectively
    • Ensure high standards relating to health & safety, nutrition and environment
  • Resident & Family Engagement
    • Build strong professional relationships with residents and relatives
    • Oversee admissions and person‑centred assessments
    • Promote excellent communication and resident satisfaction
  • External Partnership Working
    • Liaise with healthcare professionals, commissioners and external agencies
    • Promote the home positively within the local community and wider healthcare sector

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Level 5 Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
  • Registered with Social Care Wales (or eligible for registration)
  • Previous experience as a Care Home Manager / Registered Manager / Deputy Manager
  • Strong working knowledge of CIW regulations and RISCA
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Compassionate, organised and resident‑focused approach
