About the role: The role supports day‑to‑day financial processes, ensures accuracy in reporting, and contributes to strong financial governance across the organisation. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will maintain reliable financial information and support wider business operations through effective financial management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Produce and maintain accurate financial records and reports
  • Support periodic financial reporting and assist with budget monitoring
  • Process and reconcile income and expenditure across multiple streams
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Complete bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
  • Assist with cash‑flow management and forecasting activities
  • Support payroll‑related processes and expense management
  • Assist with tax‑related returns (e.g., VAT) and ensure compliance
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to internal queries
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to provide financial support
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and systems

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confidence using financial systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Preference for candidates holding an AAT qualification (Level 3 or 4) or equivalent practical experience
  • Desirable if working towards or interested in progressing to professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA
