Working independently, you'll prepare fresh, nutritious meals that make a genuine difference to the wellbeing of residents and staff. Every meal you serve helps create a safe, welcoming environment while supporting individuals as they rebuild their lives within the community.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare, cook, and serve fresh, nutritious meals to a consistently high standard
  • Take ownership of the kitchen during weekend shifts, managing food preparation with confidence
  • Deliver an excellent dining experience while maintaining exceptional food quality
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and Environmental Health regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment at all times

What you bring:

  • Previous experience as a Cook or Chef within catering, hospitality, or food service
  • Relevant culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety practices (IOSH qualification desirable)
  • A genuine passion for preparing quality meals with excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence working independently and managing your own workload
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
