We are seeking to appoint a Caretaker to join our experienced Site Team at Chesterton Community Sports College. 17.5 hours per week (14.30 to 18.00 daily during Term time).
Responsibilities:
- Secure school premises.
- Ensure the site is safe, clean, and well‑maintained at all times.
- Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Monitor heating, lighting, fire alarms, and security systems.
- Manage waste disposal and replenish consumables (e.g. soap, paper towels).
- Respond to emergency issues (e.g. leaks, faults) and report accordingly.
- Oversee contractors and visitors on site.
- Maintain outdoor areas, including car parks and grounds.

- Good practical skills and ability to use relevant equipment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A proactive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
