Role Overview
City of Bristol College is seeking a passionate and experienced Careers and Employability Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in guiding and supporting our diverse student body towards successful careers. Your expertise will help students explore their career aspirations, develop employability skills, and secure meaningful employment opportunities. As a pivotal member of our team, you will contribute to our mission of empowering individuals through education and enhancing our community’s economic prosperity.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a professional and student-centred Career Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) service.
- Ensure compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks, Matrix Standards, and Ofsted requirements across the college.
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff and personal development tutors to embed careers guidance into the curriculum and support the design and delivery of comprehensive careers programmes and workshops.
- Engage with local labour market information to empower students to make informed decisions about their career paths.
- Contribute to progression activities, monitor student attendance and progress, and facilitate workshops on essential employability topics.
- Support high application to enrolment conversions and positive student destinations.
About the College
City of Bristol College offers the widest range of academic and vocational qualifications in the area, with more than 1,000 courses available from entry to degree level. We provide education and training to approximately 12,000 students each year. The College is made up of five centres across Bristol and each centre offers excellent, well‑equipped, purpose‑built facilities. In addition, we have a wide range of community partners allowing us to offer courses in venues across the city.
