We are launching an innovative weekend service designed to better support clients and patients. Based in the vibrant city of Cardiff, the practice combines city living with easy access to the Brecon Beacons for those who enjoy the outdoors. The practice is RCVS accredited and has modern, spacious premises with state-of-the-art facilities, including an in-house laboratory, X-ray, Ultrasound, ECG, and an Orthopaedic Theatre. You’ll be supported by an experienced and welcoming team, including skilled veterinary nurses who will work alongside you during weekend shifts. You’ll have flexibility in the working pattern: you could choose to work both Saturday and Sunday (9am–5pm) or combine a weekend day with a weekday shift. The role offers a mix of consultations and procedures, with opportunities to deliver outstanding clinical care and clear, compassionate communication to clients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding clinical care in consultations and procedures during weekend shifts
- Work collaboratively with nursing teams and support nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to clients
- Demonstrate clinical leadership in a modern practice environment
- Support the development of the new weekend service and contribute to its success
Qualifications
- RCVS-registered
- Confident in sole-charge situations
- Experience working collaboratively with nursing teams
- Ability to provide clinical leadership and support for nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures
