The role
- Start date/ End date: September 2026 - December 2026
- Days / hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-3:30pm
- Pay: £92.63 - £95 per day
- Location: Cardiff (CF3)
Teaching Personnel is looking for a teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis supporting a child with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). This will be a long-term position working in Key Stage 2 (KS2) providing extra support to a child with ASD. Helping them develop confidence, access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to an ALN pupil
- Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Promote independence, confidence, and inclusion within the classroom and wider school community.

In 2019 they were federated with another local primary school. They are a busy, friendly community school welcoming around 250 students and aim to be in the middle of the local community. The school has excellent transport links or free parking if you drive.

What you will require
- An enhanced child DBS
- A live EWC registration
- At least 3 months experience working within a school or a Teaching Assistant qualification.
