Welsh-Speaking SEN Teaching Assistants Needed

Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN/SEN)? We are currently recruiting for compassionate and dedicated Welsh-Speaking SEN Teaching Assistants to work within Welsh Medium Primary Schools across the CF14 area. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs while working closely alongside teaching staff in nurturing, inclusive school environments. You will play a vital role in helping children reach their full potential - providing both academic and emotional support while promoting the Welsh language throughout the school day.

Role

  • Supporting pupils with SEN/ALN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, behavioural challenges, and other additional learning needs
  • Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support
  • Helping pupils engage positively with learning and build confidence
  • Promoting Welsh language use across the classroom and school setting
  • Creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment

What We're Looking For

  • Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
  • Experience working with children with SEN/ALN, either in schools, care, or support settings (preferred)
  • A patient, calm, and understanding nature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
