Cardiff Vibe Recruit is working on behalf of our client to recruit a Scanning Operative to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working with confidential information in a structured environment.
Job Purpose: Working closely with the Production Supervisor, the Scanning Operative will be responsible for physically handling files, digitalising documents, and accurately registering data using scanning equipment and specialised software. The role involves carrying files between designated areas and ensuring all documentation meets strict quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Physically move files and boxes to and from scanning and registration areas.
- Ensure all work instructions are correct and the appropriate files are scanned and registered accurately.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness, maintaining high attention to detail at all times.
- Prepare boxes and files for storage, ensuring every item is barcoded and scanned correctly.
- Manage the movement and tracking of documents, maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and secure work area, handling one document at a time and storing all files correctly at the end of each shift.
Person Specification:
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong team player
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
- Computer literate, with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to manage tasks independently
Experience:
- Previous experience handling confidential data is highly essential
- Experience in logistics, document handling or stock movement would be advantageous
