Responsibilities:
- The role is part of a job share alongside a teacher within our 80‑place Nursery provision (40 morning places/40 afternoon places).
- The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and delivering high‑quality Early Years provision within Progression Step 1, aligned with the Curriculum for Wales.
- Teaching and learning must be firmly rooted in purposeful play‑based learning, with equal value placed on indoor and outdoor environments.
- Expected to work effectively as part of a team to meet the needs of all learners, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and learners identified as More Able and Talented (MAT).
- The ability to use, or willingness to develop skills in, alternative communication methods such as Makaton would be advantageous.
- A strong commitment to the school’s nurturing, inclusive and community‑focused ethos is essential.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work well as part of a team and in close partnership with parents and carers, ensuring positive relationships that support children’s learning, wellbeing and development.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are required, alongside initiative, adaptability and a flexible approach to supporting young children.
