Hours: Monday to Friday 3.00 pm - 5.00 pm, term time. Increasing to 6.00 pm once the club is registered with The Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
To assist the Club Manager in the day to day running of the after school club, to provide a safe and stimulating play environment for the children attending the club, while working in line with the standards set out by CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales) and Playworks Childcare Policies and Procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the day to day running of the club, setting up the club and cleaning at the end of the session.
- Working in partnership with parents and the Club Manager to plan for the individual needs and preferences of the children.
- Providing opportunities for play and learning which encourage all areas of development.
- Ensuring that the club is welcoming and friendly, while taking into account all health and safety issues.
- Providing the children with a healthy and nutritious snack.
- Ensuring that all the policies set out by Playworks childcare are adhered to at all times.
The successful applicant must hold a Level 2 or 3 CCLD or Level 2 or 3 Playwork qualification. An Enhanced DBS check is required for the role.
