We are a prestigious manufacturer planning the next phase of our recruitment push in the Maintenance team. After our recent investment, we are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join and lead our well‑established maintenance team. The company has multiple sites and offers stability as well as excellent progression routes. Internal and external training courses are provided to develop your skills and career within this national business. The role provides excellent work‑life balance as a days role working 7am‑3pm.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all activities needed to maintain equipment are executed with high quality, focusing on preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Detect deviations in plant asset performance in a timely manner.
  • Fault find on a range of equipment such as AC/DC motors and drives, PLCs, sensors and pumps.
  • Ensure the safe, efficient and quality execution of routine maintenance work daily, through detailed job preparation with the engineer of the area.
  • Establish standard work plans for repetitive maintenance tasks and encourage standardisation.
  • Inspect equipment and facilities on random or scheduled daily tours to detect anomalies.
  • Provide support to maintenance teams in diagnosis and problem solving.
  • Use predictive‑maintenance techniques, when appropriate, for the management of equipment and components.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (minimum requirement).
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programmes and associated troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong fault‑finding and repair experience.
  • Experience working with AC/DC motors and drives; PLC fault‑finding experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure and find solutions in a short period of time.
