Children’s Cookery Classes | Cook Stars (Cardiff East)
Location: In person (Cyncoed)
Job Type: Part-time (6 - 9 hours)
Pay: £50 per session (Each session based on pay for 3 hours in total to include prep, running session and clear up)

About Us
Cook Stars delivers award-winning cookery classes for children aged 2–17 years. Our fun and creative sessions help children develop skills, confidence, and a love for cooking. We also run unforgettable birthday parties and exciting workshops. We're currently expanding across Cardiff East due to high demand for after school classes and are looking for a passionate, reliable individual to join our team and run our after-school cookery programme for children aged from 5-11 years and 12-17 years, as well as ad-hoc workshops.
What You’ll Do
- Run engaging cooking sessions (all lesson and tutorial plans, recipes, and admin provided)
- Teach 2 - 3 classes per week at Primary Schools in Cyncoed and wider area
- Shop weekly for ingredients (you’ll receive a company credit card to do this)
- Help children prepare a variety of recipes each week from scratch
- Clean up and pack away materials after each class
- Term-time only for after-school clubs
- Opportunity for growth / further sessions over time
- Each session lasts 1hr 15min, with paid time for prep and clear-up.
What You’ll Get
- £50.00 per session (Each session based on pay for 3 hours in total to include prep, running session and clear up)

Who We’re Looking For:
- You don’t need to be a chef or teacher
- You just need to:
- Be over 18 years of age (essential)
- Be a driver with access to your own vehicle (essential)
- Love working with children and food
- Be confident managing groups of school-age children
- Have a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable personality
- Be able to reliably work weekday afternoons (typically 3:15 pm - 5:30pm)
- Ideally have experience in schools, childcare, or youth work (TA, ex-teacher, group leader etc.) but this is not essential.
We will support you with obtaining the following (if you don't already have them):
- Enhanced DBS
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- First Aid Training
