A 47‑year‑old female with long‑term mobility issues and multiple health conditions following childbirth. She resides in Whitchurch with her two daughters, ages 22 and 19, in a fully adapted wheelchair bungalow.
HOURS OF WORK
29 hours per week. Work may be split across multiple personal assistants or a single assistant. Available hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Possible weekend shifts (up to 5 hours).
RATE OF PAY
£14.50 per hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
- Assist with showering and personal care.
- Help with dressing/undressing.
- Assist with transfers between hospital bed and wheelchair, or in–out of car.
- Drive the employer to hospital, GP and dental appointments; ensure wheelchair fits in boot and can be lifted into car.
- Collect medication scripts from GP and deliver to chemist.
- Assist with shopping and other errands.
- Cook and perform household duties.
- Handle paperwork, filing and coordinate appointments to avoid missed meetings.

- Reliable, trustworthy, patient, caring, supportive and compassionate.
- Self‑initiative and proactive assistance.
- Prior experience as a personal assistant is preferred but not essential.
- Open to working any combination of hours available.
ABOUT THE JOB
This part‑time role requires a National Insurance number and a DBS check with no cost to the employee. A probation period is expected. Wages are paid weekly and the candidate will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro‑rata).
