Personal Assistant
This role provides personal and in‑home care for an elderly woman with severe osteoarthritis and limited mobility located in Roath, Cardiff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with getting out of bed, using the commode, washing and dressing
- Prepare meals and help with feeding where necessary
- Support with mobility throughout the week, including short walks with a frame
- Assist with personal care tasks and daily routine
Working Hours
7 days a week; 45 minutes in the morning (7:30‑8:00), 30 minutes at lunch (12:00‑13:00), and 30 minutes in the evening (18:30‑19:00). A minimum of two assistants are required each week.
Remuneration
£15.70 per hour. Wages paid weekly.
Other Details
Holiday entitlements: 5.6 weeks pro‑rated. A DBS check is required at no cost to the employee. Punctuality, reliability, kindness, sensitivity and caring attitude are essential. A vehicle is desirable but not mandatory.
Conditions
Probationary period applies. The contract is a part‑time role that requires a National Insurance number. The candidate will not work from their own home.
