A personal assistant is required for a 13-year-old girl living in the Rhiwbina area of Cardiff, who is diagnosed with Autism. A jovial girl who likes going out and meeting people.
Hours of Work: 3 hours a week to be used flexibly over 1 or two sessions.
Place of Work: Out and about in the community.
Rate of Pay: £14.90 an hour.
Tasks Involved:
- Supervising at all times.
- Ensuring safety at all times.
- Transporting to places in the community of choice.
- Assisting to improve confidence, physical skills and ability to deal with a variety of social situations.
Qualifications:
- Outgoing, energetic, physically active, good sense of humour, jovial and understanding.
- Must have access to a vehicle and hold a full driving licence; use of vehicle required for role.
- Reliable, flexible, patient.
- Experience in a similar role desirable.
Benefits and Employment Details:
- Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.
- A probation period will be necessary in the first instance.
- Wages will be paid 4 weekly.
- You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro-rata).
- You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
- Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.
