Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF: I am an elderly lady living in the Llanishen area of Cardiff. I have a recent diagnosis of Dementia and Alzheimer's disease, and I am hard of hearing. I am reluctant to receive care, so trust needs to be built up.
PURPOSE OF JOB
- To maintain personal hygiene.
- To always keep me safe.
- To support me to access the community.
PLACE OF WORK
In my home and out in the community.
HOURS OF WORK
5 hours and 15 minutes each week: 3 x 45 minutes on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 12 noon. A 3-hour companionship call may be split into two visits, to be discussed further at interview.
RATE OF PAY
£15.70 per hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
- Provide companionship.
- Assist to access the community.
- Provide and encourage Personal Care tasks.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

- Female due to personal care tasks.
- Car driver and owner essential.
ABOUT THE JOB
This part‑time position requires a National Insurance number and a DBS check at no expense to you. A probation period will be necessary. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6‑weeks paid holiday (pro‑rata). Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.
