Job closes 26.06.2026. JOB DESCRIPTION. Personal Assistant. I am a young lady in my mid 20’s, with autism spectrum disorder, living in the Cathays area of Cardiff.
I really enjoy dancing, playing the piano and attending a drama club.
I am looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to support me with my weekly activities.
Purpose of job: Supporting me to access activities within the community and travelling by bus to the destinations.
Place of work: In the community. Hours of work: 8.15 hours a week on Wednesdays between 9am to 3.30pm.
Rate of pay: £14.80 per hour.
Responsibilities
Keep me safe by supporting me to access activities in the local community.
Assist me on public transport buses to and from my activities.
Requirements

About the job
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) check which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will ensure applicants have the right to work in the UK before starting work.
Although a part‑time position, this is a proper job requiring a National Insurance number. A probation period will be necessary initially.
Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.
