He is social, chatty about subjects he is passionate about and has a cheeky sense of humour. His favourite hobbies are gaming and football and he would love someone with similar interests to talk about this and to take him out to kick a football around and even introduce him to new sports.
HOURS OF WORK
6 hours per week currently in school holidays only. Can be flexible with times but would prefer mid‑week day times.
RATE OF PAY
£14.10 per hour.
TASKS INVOLVED
- Support out to activities he enjoys.
- Ensure his safety at all times.
- He needs support when in busy places as his ability to get distracted/excited about things can lead to no sense of danger.
- He can also become upset when he feels things are unfair, at which point he needs someone to explain the situation simply and clearly.
- He has some difficulty with personal hygiene and will need to be told to wash hands, discreetly encouraged to go to the toilet etc.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
- Reliable & punctual.
- Patient.
- Someone with similar interests (football/gaming) is desirable.
- Car driver is essential.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part‑time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4-weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro‑rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.
