Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Material Handler (Sennebogen) & Wheeled Loading Shovel Operator for an ongoing position in Cardiff. This role offers the opportunity to join a busy recycling facility with a permanent contract available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-start checks and ensure machinery is safe and operational.
- Operate Material Handlers (Sennebogen, Fuchs, Liebherr) or similar safely and efficiently.
- Operate wheeled loading shovels and 360 excavators in line with site procedures.
- Work to established protocols while adhering to cardinal safety rules.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Comply with site health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Be prepared for due cause substance testing as required.
About You / Requirements
- Previous experience operating Material Handlers and Wheeled Loading Shovels in recycling or similar facilities.
- UK Driving Licence.
- CPCS / NPORS or equivalent qualifications (desirable) for 360 Wheeled Excavator / Wheeled Loading Shovel.
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious.
- Able to work 40-60 hours per week, including potential overtime.
