The Governing Body and Headteacher are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to work as teaching assistants in our Year 1 and 2 settings across our inclusive, welcoming school that is at the heart of its community. Severn Primary School is a happy, vibrant, culturally diverse inner-city school with a two-form entry, large nursery and wrap-around care provision. It is situated in the Canton area of Cardiff about a mile from the centre of the city.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils in class under the supervision and direction of the class teacher
- Working with ALN pupils on specific targets in their Individual Development Plans (IDP)
- Providing general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom, including preparation and routine maintenance of resources and equipment
