Duties of the MOT Technician

  • Conduct MOT tests and re-tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
  • Perform servicing, maintenance, and repair work to high standards as an MOT Technician
  • Carry out diagnostics and fault-finding on a variety of vehicles
  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections and vehicle preparation as an MOT Technician
  • Assist customers and liaise with them about vehicle repairs and work
  • Work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team

Requirements

  • Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
