We are seeking a MET Technician to join a leading automotive accident repair centre in Caldicot.

- Long-term career prospects within a growing automotive accident repair network - 42.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break Duties of the MET Technician:
- Remove damaged parts to facilitate vehicle repairs while ensuring safe storage and handling
- Identify and report additional damage, ordering necessary parts in collaboration with the Vehicle Damage Assessor
- Check that all parts are accounted for and correct to ensure a smooth repair process
- Refit vehicle panels with precision, maintaining manufacturer tolerances and avoiding damage to freshly painted surfaces
- Replace mechanical components such as steering, drivetrain, and engine parts as required
- Reset Vehicle Control Units using diagnostic equipment
- Follow all health and safety legislation and internal procedures
- Maintain tools and equipment; attend regular safety training
- Support team members and carry out additional duties as required
- Requirements of the MET Technician:
- Recognised qualification in automotive MET/vehicle body repair or working towards an ATA/IMI qualification
- Ability to work under pressure within strict deadlines and to high standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow job card instructions accurately
- Proactive and able to prioritise workload effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
