Key responsibilities:
- Rapid diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults on HGVs and light commercial vehicles
- Attend and resolve roadside breakdowns and maintenance calls
- Complete servicing and maintenance tasks to industry and safety standards
- Keep accurate job records and maintain communication with control and customers
- Adhere to strict health, safety and roadside safety procedures
Skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HGV or mobile fleet technician, mobile mechanic or breakdown technician
- Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills for heavy and light commercial vehicles
- Excellent roadside safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures
- Current Class 1 (CE) driving licence
- Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications (e.g. IMI, City & Guilds)
