Location: Caerphilly (CF83)

Contract: Full time, Monday to Friday, Term time, 08:15-15:00

Pay: £95 per day

Start Date: 1st of June 2026

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre‑set lessons across a range of subjects to maintain learning continuity.
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to create a calm and productive learning environment.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to improve engagement and confidence.
  • Work alongside teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams to support progress and wellbeing.
  • Encourage resilience, motivation and independence in learners.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Calm, confident and strong communicator.
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping young people succeed.
  • Interest in SEN, mental health, psychology, youth work, coaching or mentoring.
  • Adaptable, able to respond positively in a busy school environment.
  • Committed to safeguarding and inclusion.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
