Looking for additional weekend hours local to Buxton? We have daytime hours offering great pay rates for unsociable hours and weekly pay. This home supports up to 20 elderly residents with a range of health conditions, including learning disabilities, dementia, and sensory impairments.
As a Care Assistant, you will work day shifts and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Following individual care plans
- Assisting with personal care
- Supporting residents with mobility and handling
- Facilitating engaging activities that enhance their quality of life
The home is known for its warm and supportive environment, and we are looking for individuals with an outgoing, bubbly personality and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with both residents and fellow staff members, so a friendly and team-oriented approach is essential.

Do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep.
To apply for this role, you must:
- Have referenceable work history
- Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (including moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults, and infection control)
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service
- Have a minimum of 3 months paid UK work experience working within a care setting
Please note that we do not offer sponsorships. This role offers ongoing weekend work for the right candidate. You could be working hours on Saturday and/or Sunday working earlies or afters: 07:00 to 14:30 or 14:00 to 22:00. You will be paid £12.21 per hour for hours worked from 07:00 to 19:00 and will be paid an enhanced rate of £16.24 per hour for hours worked from 19:00 to 07:00. Your pay rate will rise after working for a 13-week period.
