Joseph’s are currently seeking a HLTA. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi‑academy trust.
Responsibilities
- Complement the work of teachers, with responsibility for teaching and learning activities including planning, preparing and delivering specialist support to individual pupils, groups and/or leading learning activities within an area of specialism.
- Deliver whole class teaching cover, e.g., during teacher’s PPA time.
- Be responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or supervision of other teaching assistants, including allocating and monitoring work, mentoring and training.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Qualifications
- HLTA status and a relevant NQF/QCF Level 3 qualification.
- Training in relevant learning strategies, curriculum and learning areas.
- Experience in delivering lessons to individuals, groups and classes.
- Experience of preparing and developing resources to meet learning needs and for education plans.
- Experience of working within a school’s ethos and supporting the aims of the school.
