Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a part‑time substantive Consultant Psychiatrist for a post based in Bury, Manchester. The service operates in a sectorised model and is staffed by 2 WTE sector consultants in Older People Psychiatry, with an additional 0.6 WTE consultant providing support to clinics and the care‑home liaison service. Outpatient clinics are supported by a junior doctor (NW Deanery training schemes) and GP trainees.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality mental health care for older people with severe and enduring mental health problems in outpatient clinics.
- Work closely with other teams and consultants to ensure coherent and high‑quality mental health care for older people within the Bury area.
- Collaborate with other consultants to support the development of the service and attend local and divisional service development meetings.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion, or be within six months of the anticipated award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Older People Psychiatry at the time of interview.
