- Medical Degree
Essential: MBChB or equivalent.
Desirable: Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management. - GMC Registration
Essential: Full registration with GMC.
Desirable: In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice. - Specialist Register
Essential: Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months. - AC status
Essential: Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment. - S12 approval
Essential: Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment. - Knowledge in psychiatry
Essential: Excellent knowledge in adult psychiatry including knowledge and experience of a range of conditions and complex psychological problems.
