Overview: Caretaking & Cleaning Services are looking to appoint enthusiastic and highly motivated casual caretakers. The role is required as soon as possible. Salary: Grade 4 (£12.85 per hour).

Responsibilities: You will work throughout the borough for short and long‑term placements. Working hours can vary, up to 37 hours per week between 6:30 am–10 am and 2–6 pm, Monday to Friday, all year round.

  • Key holder duties – ensuring the environment is secure and sharing responsibility for opening and closing of premises.
  • Attendance may be required out of hours for alarm calls.
  • Travel to various schools across the borough and surrounding areas. Having a car and willingness to travel is an advantage and can increase opportunities for work.

Qualifications & Experience: Ability to use own initiative and work within a team. Relevant experience is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided.

Appointment may be subject to a satisfactory disclosure at the appropriate level under the Disclosure and Barring Service. Please ensure your CV covers your full employment history and reasons for any gaps. Successful candidates will need references covering the past ten years; character references will not be accepted.
