Autism Support (Primary) Bury | Full-time | Summer Term (Easter — July)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bury for the summer term.
About the role
This is a full-time role supporting primary-aged children with Autism, working closely with class teachers and the wider support team to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism
- Supporting children with challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent, and positive manner
- Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals
Qualifications
- Proven experience supporting primary-aged children with Autism
- Confidence and skill in managing challenging behaviour
- A current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
