About the Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
- Provide classroom support to students on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
- Support pupils with additional needs, encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Promote emotional regulation and social development throughout the school day
- Act as a consistent, positive role model for young people
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people in any setting (education, youth work, coaching, care, or voluntary work)
- A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to build strong relationships
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Calm, resilient, and adaptable within a busy school environment
- A genuine commitment to inclusion and supporting pupils with additional needs
To be eligible you must
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS registered with the Update Service
- Provide two professional child-related references
