In this rewarding position, you will:
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Help pupils develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Support engagement with classroom learning and daily routines
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team to deliver tailored support plans
- Encourage confidence, resilience, and positive social interactions
- Help create and maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Has worked as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school (desirable)
- Brings a calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Communicates effectively and works well within a team
- Has experience with Read Write Inc. (RWI) or phonics (advantageous but not essential)
- Is a dedicated consultant who understands their experience and career goals
