We are looking for a friendly, professional Security Receptionist with a passion for making a difference to others. You will be working 36 hours per week (6am to 6pm on Monday, Thursday & Friday) at Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson, helping provide a safe, welcoming environment for colleagues, visitors and the people in our care.

Cygnet Bury Hudson provides a wide range of secure mental health services for men including individuals with a diagnosis of personality disorder. Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir. Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience
  • Greet visitors & notify the appropriate member of staff of their arrival
  • Ensure visitors sign in & out, and that patients leaving & returning are recorded appropriately
  • Receive and process all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner ensuring that messages and information reach the intended receiver quickly and efficiently
  • Ensure the environment is welcoming and comfortable to all who enter Hospital premises.
  • Manage the distribution and allocation of security keys, making a record of the key number issued to individual staff.
  • Keep the reception area clean & tidy
  • Promote the safety & security of all site users & ensure all staff comply with security protocols.

You are:

  • An experienced receptionist/administrator used to working with customers/clients
  • Organised, naturally helpful & a good multi-tasker
  • Computer literate including Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable of telephone systems
  • Polite, friendly & approachable with excellent communication skills
  • GCSE Maths & English qualified, with a good level of numeracy & literacy
  • Diligent & accurate, with an eye for detail & an understanding of confidentiality

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
