About the role
Pay: Powys County Council applies a discretionary real living wage supplement to employees earning less than £13.45 per hour.
To provide front‑line cleaning services in line with Powys council policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining a clean area within PCC premises to the standards set in the job specification.
Qualifications
- Ability to complete stock records, time sheets and other administrative tasks.
- Ability to train cleaning operatives.
- Literacy and numeracy skills.
- Enhanced DBS Check required.
Responsibilities
- Clean floor areas using vacuuming, machine polishing, machine scrubbing, wet/dry sweeping and mopping.
- Clean furniture and work surfaces.
- Clean toilet areas, w.c. pans, urinals, hand basins, mirrors and replenish toilet tissue, hand towels and soap.
- Empty and clean waste and recycling bins, replenish litter bin bags and remove waste to the compound.
- Remove dirty marks from walls, doors and internal windows up to head height.
- Perform high‑level cleaning using extending equipment.
- Report damaged or broken items to the caretaker and blocked drains to the caretaker.
- Observe health and safety regulations and use chemicals correctly to maintain a safe working environment.
- Attend relevant training as required.
