Overview
We are working with a primary mainstream school rated Outstanding by Ofsted and an established on‑site deaf learning provision. The school seeks a full‑time BSL Teaching Assistant to support pupils in accessing lessons and school life.
Daily Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils within the deaf provision
- Translating classroom teaching into BSL
- Facilitating communication between pupils, staff and peers
- Working 1:1 or in small groups
- Helping pupils stay engaged, settled and ready to learn
- Being a calm, familiar presence that pupils rely on
