Responsibilities:

  • Manage the smooth and efficient operations of the kitchen across multiple outlets, ensuring food quality and reputation.
  • Organise planning, preparation, cooking and presentation of food to required standards.
  • Ensure supplies are correctly issued, used and accounted for; conduct stock takes and food rotation procedures.
  • Set objectives and oversee the day‑to‑day running of kitchens, including supervising recruitment and selection.
  • Assess employee performance, recognise training needs and potential.
  • Continuously update industry knowledge on current food trends and ingredients.
  • Control and achieve agreed financial targets while maximising commercial opportunities; communicate with the team as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements for Health & Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience within a demanding kitchen at the relevant level.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or above.
  • Strong teamwork and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers.
  • Passion for food provenance and working closely with the kitchen team.
