Key Responsibilities
- Operational Delivery – Carry out HV maintenance, remedial works and project delivery, acting as the primary customer point of contact. Ensure all activities meet safety, quality, legislative and programme requirements. Maintain Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status and ensure compliance with all training, audit and record‑keeping obligations. Deploy safe systems of work and ensure effective control measures across all tasks. Ensure all procedures are fully followed for Customer Networks and EN&I activities.
- Health, Safety, Quality & Environment (HSQE) – Provide strong leadership to promote positive HSQE culture and best practice. Proactively manage HSQE matters in line with corporate policy and legislation. Produce RAMS, complete audits, conduct site inspections, and assess performance against HSQE benchmarks.
- Planning & Management – Organise teams to meet operational deliverables efficiently. Participate in tendering activities including site surveys, pricing and preparing scopes of work. Produce regular performance reports for senior leadership, including KPI analysis. Build and maintain strong relationships with supply chain partners.
- Technical Duties – Perform factory, site and plant inspections as required. Manage commissioning inspections and witness testing. Participate in the SAP standby rota and provide initial fault response. Offer guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
- Other Requirements – Overnight stays and travel may be required to meet project and customer needs. Travel, accommodation and expenses will follow Mitie policies.

- Skills & Attributes – Strong team player able to work positively with technical and commercial colleagues. Excellent organisational and workload management skills. Highly effective communicator, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and development. Demonstrates integrity, ethical behaviour and strong professional character.
- Qualifications & Experience – Minimum 5 years' experience working on networks from 11kV to 66kV. HNC in Electrical Engineering (or Level 3 electrical qualification with significant experience). SAP experience at 11kV / 33kV / 66kV (experience up to 132kV / 275kV / 400kV desirable). Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation capabilities. Self‑motivated and able to motivate others to achieve tight deadlines.

- Follow all Group and company policies and procedures. Report deficiencies in systems, equipment or processes that may impact safety or service delivery. Use all equipment and PPE correctly and as trained. Report issues or training needs to your line manager or via the incident reporting system.

- Comply with information security procedures at all times. Identify and report security risks proactively. Report actual or suspected security incidents immediately.
