HGV C (Class 2) Drivers required urgently, working days. Start times between 05:00 / 08:30. Pay up to £19.05 per hour (PAYE ONLY). Ongoing work available, some trunking routes available, and temp to perm options.
This is a temporary ongoing role for an HGV C (Class 2) Driver with Millison Chase Limited working within our client’s depot. As an HGV C, Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for daily deliveries to hubs RDC or NDC’s or collections from businesses using a curtain sided or solid sided truck, ensuring the safe transportation of goods and maintaining accurate records of delivery schedules.
Shifts can be long but are in keeping with law and legislation. The job consists of delivering various loads driving a rigid class 2 or 7.5t lorry, delivering business to business on varied routes with 1 to 15 drops and occasional trunks or collections. There is some handball on this job with load security strapping, and you will use a tail lift and pallet truck or be expected to move caged goods when required.
Qualifications:
- Valid UK HGV C (Class 2) license
- Experience with daily deliveries and transportation of goods on 7.5t or class 2
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- UK CPC card
- UK digi Card
- No more than 6 penalty points and only SP codes allowed
- 1 year driving experience for insurance purposes
Pay:
- Mon to Fri: £15.00 per hour
- Weekends: £17.00 per hour
This is equivalent to between £16.81 & £19.05 pay when you factor in holiday pay.
