The Job: An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Broiler Farm Manager to lead the day to day operation of a brand new, purpose built broiler unit. This is a unique opportunity to manage a state of the art poultry facility designed with the latest technology, automation and bird welfare standards at its core. Working closely with the wider management team, you will have full responsibility for flock performance, operational efficiency, staff leadership and maintaining the highest standards of welfare and biosecurity. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in establishing one of the UK's leading broiler operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage all day to day operations of the broiler farm, ensuring excellent bird welfare and production performance
  • Monitor flock health, production data and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain the highest standards of biosecurity, hygiene and compliance with industry regulations and assurance schemes
  • Manage environmental controls, feed, bedding and all aspects of flock management
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the farm team, creating a positive and high performing culture
  • Work closely with veterinarians, nutritionists, technical specialists and senior management to optimise performance
  • Maximise productivity through the effective use of modern technology and automated farm systems
  • Represent the business professionally during customer, supplier and stakeholder visits
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, sustainability and overall farm performance

The Candidate

  • Previous experience managing, or operating in a senior role within a commercial broiler production environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of broiler production, bird welfare, biosecurity and modern poultry management systems
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams while driving operational performance and continuous improvement
  • Experience monitoring production data, analysing flock performance and implementing improvements
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem solving skills with a proactive approach
  • Full UK driving licence; relevant poultry or agricultural qualifications and experience with highly automated facilities would be advantageous

The Package

  • Basic salary of £55,000 DOE
