About Us

Microspec Ltd is looking for a reliable, multi‑skilled, and proactive Handyman / Maintenance Person to join our team on a part‑time basis.

Role Summary

Based at our Bromborough site, you will be responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and presentation of our building, grounds, and company vehicles. This is a solo role where you will manage your own checklist of tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Repairs & Maintenance: Handling day‑to‑day DIY tasks, fixing minor faults, and basic carpentry or plumbing tweaks as needed.
  • Painting & Decorating: Keeping the interior and exterior looking fresh, including touching up paintwork and handling minor plaster repairs.
  • Grounds & Garden Maintenance: Keeping our outdoor areas tidy, including weeding, mowing, sweeping paths, and general seasonal upkeep.
  • Window Cleaning: Regular cleaning of accessible ground‑floor windows to keep the premises looking professional.
  • Vehicle Oversight: Managing our company vehicles, including coordinating scheduled servicing/MOTs and performing routine valets (washing, vacuuming, and interior cleaning).

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar handyman, caretaking, or property maintenance role.
  • Skillset: A broad range of practical skills (painting, basic DIY, gardening, and vehicle care).
  • Attributes: Self‑motivated, trustworthy, and able to work independently using your own initiative.
  • Driving Licence: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential (required for managing and moving company vehicles).
