The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.
To develop the necessary skills, experience and qualifications to carry out specific or the full range of asbestos consultancy services to include all types of survey, supervision of removal contracts and associated clearance work, preparation and technical review of reports. Will be trained and given the opportunity to gain the P402, P403 and P404 certificates as applicable. Training will follow the programmes set out in the Asbestos Quality and Procedures Manual.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing relevant site experience, first through shadowing activities, and then by acting as a second person on site.
- Gaining relevant asbestos qualifications.
- Gaining and maintaining skills sets on the asbestos skills matrix.
- Developing experience and eventual sign off to conduct asbestos surveys, bulk sampling and assessment, statutory re-inspection, airborne fibre monitoring, fibre counting, and clearance works, as applicable.
- Begin to develop skills and experience to conduct high level consultancy, client advice on managing asbestos in estates and properties.
- Gain and maintain knowledge of all current asbestos, health and safety and CDM regulations.
- Ensure that all asbestos related work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and associated documentation.
- To comply with the Company General Quality Procedures with support from the Quality Manager.
- Attend operational team meetings as and when required.
- Ensure that reports are completed in accordance with timescales set and to the required standard.
- Participate in the internal and external audit programme for fibre counting, bulk sampling, surveying and airborne fibre monitoring as required.
- Compile recommendations and technically review reports as necessary.
- Attend training courses as and when required.
- To carry out any other duties required as part of the overall strategy to achieve the company's objectives.
